Week 8
On Wednesday I made it happen - with the help of my wonderful boyfriend who helped me choose locations, took the pictures and even was my leg model for one of the pictures. We went out in the middle of the night, have been to parking lots and alley ways and also found some good photo spots in our own houses. It was windy and cold and sometimes the tedious creation of sentences with the glow sticks just was blown away. Hence we're really proud of the results, that I edited with Photoshop afterwards:

ReplyDeleteVery powerful and thought provoking images!
ReplyDeleteLovely concept Caroline! I love the creativity in the text (you've created a font type!) Interesting concept using only legs in each photo, yet each posture correlates with the written message. I can relate with being afraid to walk home at night, anywhere I find myself. I suppose most societies still - sometimes unconsciously - expect women to be more careful - whatever 'more careful' means, lest you get what you never asked for.
ReplyDeletewhen I first saw these pictures, I was a little confused about the theme.
ReplyDeleteAfter I look through your other articles, I know it.These pictures are very impressive and fit for your title"turn on the light". Good ideas! The last word: the colour of your shoes(the red one) is better than others in picture.
I love the concept and the execution, I think the photographs look so great... very thought-provoking and powerful. Love it.
ReplyDeleteI chose: SMILE. How many times as a women we have been asked to smile after a catcall in the streets? After been harassed? "Oh come on, I was just kidding" "It is just a compliment, why don't you like it?" SMILE.
